Medical Residency in Russia: 119 Resident Doctors Graduate Across 20 Specialties
A graduation ceremony was held by resident doctors of the Amur State Medical Academy. This year, 119 residents in 20 specialties graduated from the medical academy.
12 general practitioners, 10 dermatovenerologists and therapists, 9 obstetricians-gynecologists, 8 pediatricians and psychiatrists, 7 ophthalmologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators and cardiologists, 6 neurologists, 5 oncologists, forensic medical experts and traumatologists-orthopedists, 3 otolaryngologists and tuberculosis specialists, 2 urologists and infectious disease specialists, 2 pathologists and one endocrinologist are leaving the Academy.
Young specialists were congratulated on the completion of their studies by the Acting Rector of the Amur State Medical Academy, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, doctor of the highest category Irina Valentinovna Zhukovets.
– Our dear graduates, colleagues! In your last year of study, you were trained in practical healthcare, and I think that you will successfully pass the upcoming accreditation. Remember that even after graduation, you remain part of the academy, the history of our university. I wish you professional growth and may you succeed! May your professional path be interesting and worthy! - said Irina Valentinovna.
After receiving diplomas, graduates still have to go through the accreditation procedure, which gives them the official right to conduct independent medical activities.
