The International Youth Festival was held in the city of Yekaterinburg and brought together more than 10 thousand participants from 190 countries.

The Amur State Medical Academy was represented at the festival by a second-year resident in obstetrics and gynecology Sofia Alatartseva and a student of group 412 Kholmurzaeva Farzuna Giyozzon Kizi.

"The festival program was very rich. Many concerts and cultural projects were organized for the participants. The opening ceremony united the culture of different countries and continents. I was especially impressed by the project "Challenge" — it told stories where a person accepted the challenge of circumstances, fate, and did not settle for anything less in his life. For example, there was such a young man from Ufa, his legs were amputated due to a collapse in the mine, but in May of this year he reached the highest point of Everest in his arms," Sofia Alatartseva shares her impressions.

Sofia also attended a lecture by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Albertovich Murashko.

In general, the representatives of the academy were very impressed by the events of the festival.

"We were divided into directions, and the theme of Patriotism became mine. There was so much here! Each territory is a separate universe. Africa, Asia, Europe, the East. I got to Africa, and it was unforgettable: the rhythms of the drums from seven in the morning (you really don't need an alarm clock!), incendiary dances and songs until nightfall. The cultural program was amazing. I saw living legends: Natalia Oreiro and Halit Ergench, as well as Yegor Creed, Dima Bilan and Akmal. But the most valuable thing is people, communication and acquaintances with children from different countries. Different views on life, different languages, but the same energy. I am extremely glad that this opportunity fell to me. This is the experience that stays with you forever. Thanks to this festival for the emotions and new friends! Farzuna Giyozjon Kizi told about Kholmurzaev's trip.
