Amur State Medical Academy Students Conduct Surgical Suturing Workshop for Schoolchildren

At school No 28 in the city of Blagoveshchensk, students of the 407th group of the Amur State Medical Academy under the guidance of the assistant of the Department of Children's Diseases, Candidate of Medical Sciences Olga Sergeevna Yutkina held a career guidance meeting for eighth grade students.

Students told the students about the profession of a doctor and about their training at the medical academy, highlighted in detail the conditions for admission to a medical university.

During the meeting, the schoolchildren were given a surgical master class: "Knots and sutures in surgery".

"Future doctors told and demonstrated to the children the basic techniques of applying surgical sutures and tying knots, after which they tried themselves as surgeons, worked out the skills gained, and also asked questions of interest to them. The relevance of these events is truly important in our time, especially for schoolchildren and the younger generation of our city," said Olga Sergeevna Yutkina.
