Yakutsk Schools Send Musical Greetings as Career Guidance Meetings Continue

Career guidance activities aimed at encouraging future medical professionals continue across the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), with outreach sessions led by representatives of Amur State Medical Academy.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Anatomy and Operative Surgery, Nadezhda Petrovna Ambrosyeva, conducted educational meetings and workshops for school and college students in Yakutsk, introducing them to medical education opportunities and professional career paths.

At the national gymnasium "Aiyy Kyyata", students of grades 9–11 specializing in biology and chemistry attended a master class titled “Cardiovascular System: Anatomy and Physiology.” During the session, complex anatomy problems commonly appearing in the Unified State Exam in biology were analyzed. Around 90 students participated in the interactive learning session.

The outreach program also included a meeting with graduating students of Yakutsk Medical College named after V. A. Vongrodsky. Students from departments including General Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Prosthetic Dentistry learned about opportunities for continuing medical education and specialization.

Further sessions were conducted for medical-class students at School No. 1 in Yakutsk, where career guidance and anatomy master classes introduced students to the academic pathways in medical universities.

According to Nadezhda Petrovna Ambrosyeva, cooperation prospects were discussed with school leadership, including respected educator Taisiya Nikolaevna Gorokhova, director of one of Yakutsk’s leading schools, who expressed interest in strengthening collaboration between medical training institutions and school medical programs.

A memorable cultural moment occurred at School No. 16 in Yakutsk, where a primary school student named Sofia welcomed academy representatives by performing traditional music on the khomus instrument while dressed in national costume. Following the performance, high school students and biology teachers participated in an anatomy master class, further strengthening academic cooperation.

These career guidance meetings help students better understand medical education opportunities, encouraging future doctors and strengthening cooperation between schools and higher medical institutions.
