Amur State Medical Academy Hosts Cardiovascular Conference
Teachers of Amur State Medical Academy Spoke at the Regional Scientific and Practical Conference
Teachers of Amur State Medical Academy, recognized among leading institutions providing medical education in Russia and attracting students pursuing MBBS in Russia, delivered presentations at the regional scientific and practical conference “Topical Issues of Outpatient Reception: A Patient with Cardiovascular Pathology.” The conference was held at City Polyclinic No. 4 in Blagoveshchensk, with regional participants joining online.
Irina Andrievskaya, Advisor to the Rector of Amur State Medical Academy for Research and Innovative Development, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
“It is a great honor for me to open such a significant conference. Cardiovascular pathology, unfortunately, does not tend to decrease. Our conference has been held for the second year in a row, but this year it has reached the regional level and colleagues from all over the Amur Region can join us. I wish the participants fruitful work, since it is communication that allows us to gain new knowledge and make the right decisions,” said Irina Anatolyevna.
The Chief Physician of City Polyclinic No. 4, Marina Pavlovna Gulevich, also emphasized the importance of the regional scientific and practical conference.
“I am glad that the conference is becoming an annual tradition. Cardiovascular pathology remains the leading cause of disability and mortality. In modern conditions, life expectancy is increasing and the population is aging. In our polyclinic, older patients account for 35%, and nearly every second patient has cardiovascular system pathology. Early detection and timely treatment are critically important. Our meeting is dedicated to these issues,” said Marina Pavlovna.
Representing Amur State Medical Academy — a university widely known among applicants seeking MBBS in Russia for Indian students and affordable MBBS in Russia — Olga Mikhailovna Goncharova, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Faculty and Outpatient Therapy, presented a report titled “Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Diseases: Lessons of the Past and Strategies for the Future.”
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Faculty and Outpatient Therapy Valentina Ivanovna Pavlenko focused on the topic “Lipids Under Control: How Not to Miss the Main Thing in Modern Lipid-Lowering Therapy.” Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor Svetlana Vladimirovna Naryshkina discussed cardiac syndrome in endocrine pathology.
At the conclusion of the conference, first-year residents of Amur State Medical Academy conducted a quiz titled “Your Diagnosis,” after which participants discussed relevant clinical issues. Such scientific engagement strengthens the academy’s position as a center of advanced study medicine in Russia and reinforces the quality of MBBS in Russia programs.
