Student Selected for All-Russian Summer Scientific Meeting

A student of the Amur State Medical Academy will take part in the All-Russian Summer Scientific Meeting in Moscow

Two teams of the Amur State Medical Academy took part in the qualifying stage of the All-Russian Scientific School "Young Medicine". Under the mentorship of the project manager Victoria Zaritskaya, the guys defended their work at a regional pitch session in an online format on the basis of the Pacific State Medical University.

According to the results of the preliminary selection from the Amur State Medical Academy, Maria Kan with the project "New Methods of RPE Disposal in the Far East" received the opportunity to attend the Summer School.

"Used personal respiratory protective equipment (RPE) poses an environmental and epidemiological hazard. They are a source of the spread of infections and emit persistent organic pollutants (dioxins, biphenyls), which contradicts the obligations of the Russian Federation under the Stockholm Convention. The relevance of our project is due to the lack of effective methods for processing complex composite RPE materials in the Far East and the need to introduce waste-free technologies," Maria Kan said in her report.

On behalf of the Amur State Medical Academy, Ondar Ayalga Syldysovna also spoke at the pitch session. She presented the project "Medical and Technical Complex for Various Social Groups of the Population in the Far East".

"The introduction of re-equipped unmanned aerial vehicles will reduce the delivery time of medicines, open access to emergency and urgent medical care in remote and impassable areas of the Far East, accelerate and improve the efficiency of its provision to various social groups of the population, including persons with disabilities," Ondar Ayalga Syldysovna noted in her speech.

"Both projects are socially significant and have applied regional significance, and the project activity itself is a mandatory requirement of the Federal State Educational Standard and helps students better understand the professional environment. We will continue to develop the necessary competencies in future young professionals," says mentor Victoria Viktorovna Zaritskaya.

From the Amur Region, the qualifying round was also passed by the project of Andrey Konev, a representative of the Far Eastern Scientific Center for Respiratory Physiology and Pathology.

All-Russian Summer Meeting "Russia is a country of scientists. Young Medicine" will be held in Moscow from June 23 to 26, 2026. The participants will be 40 young scientists selected based on the results of pitch sessions. The organizers are the Filatov Foundation and the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
