Students of the Amur Medical Academy spoke at the "Sirotinsky Readings" in Khabarovsk

Three students of the Amur State Medical Academy represented the university at the IV interregional competition of clinical cases among young therapists of the youth movement of the Khabarovsk regional branch of the RNMOT "Sirotinsky Readings". It was held on April 22 at the Far Eastern State Medical University. It was possible to take part both online and in person. The competition, which has already become traditional, bears the name of the famous Far Eastern scientist, who for many years headed the Department of Faculty Therapy of the Far Eastern State Medical University and created a well-known therapeutic school in Russia, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Professor Boris Sirotin.

The conference brought together participants of different levels: for the first time, 3rd year students were allowed to participate in the competition, students of 4-6 courses and residents also spoke. Before the start of the readings, the head of the Department of Faculty and Outpatient Therapy of the Far Eastern State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Natalia Korneeva gave a traditional lecture on the art of diagnostics. This time, the main topic was type 2 diabetes mellitus.

The Amur State Medical Academy was represented by 5th year students:

Despite the serious competition, the girls noted that the main result was the invaluable experience of public speaking, discussing complex clinical cases with experts and colleagues. All participants received memorable gifts from the organizers.

In addition to the competition program, the students were happy to participate in the quiz "Therapy in Art", where they were able to show off their erudition at the intersection of medicine and culture. The trip was an important stage in the professional formation and strengthening of inter-university ties.
