September 17, 2026

The lesson on the topic "First steps in surgery: instruments, materials, sutures and nodes" was conducted by a student of group 402 Ivan Gordik.

Students got acquainted with the main surgical instruments and suture material, analyzed their purpose and features, discussed the basic principles of general surgery, and also moved from theory to practice.

The children worked out the technique of applying surgical sutures and tying knots, learned how to work with tools correctly and consolidated the acquired skills in practice.

A little later, three open training sessions were held at once in the Lancet surgical club. Members of the association were able to get acquainted with several areas of surgery at once.

The first open training in microneurosurgery this academic year included an introduction to microsurgical equipment, a demonstration of basic surgery and practical work with a microscope and microinstruments.

At the training on coronary artery bypass grafting, the participants analyzed the main stages of the operation and were able to try their hand at the practical part, practicing surgical skills.

As part of the abdominal surgery training, the participants got acquainted with the main surgical techniques and put them into practice.
