Students of the Academy went on an excursion to the laboratories of the Far Eastern Scientific Center for Physiology and Pathology of Respiration

Students of the Amur State Medical Academy visited the research laboratories of the Far Eastern Scientific Center for Physiology and Pathology of Respiration. The excursion for them was organized by Associate Professor of the Department of Faculty and Outpatient Therapy Ekaterina Kulik and Head of the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Virus-Associated Developmental Pathologies Dina Gassan.

The students were able to get acquainted in detail with the work of the laboratory of the mechanisms of etiopathogenesis and restorative processes of the respiratory system in non-specific lung diseases, under the guidance of Irina Andrievskaya, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Advisor to the Rector for Research and Innovative Development of the Amur State Medical Academy. She spoke about the scientific direction of the laboratory, clearly demonstrated the work of modern equipment for the preparation and subsequent study of morphological samples. Much attention was paid to the possibilities of Russian science, in particular, student science.

Further, within the walls of the Laboratory of Molecular and Translational Research and the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Virus-Associated Pathologies, Dina Gassan showed the operation of high-tech equipment necessary to identify key signaling mechanisms in response to the impact of physical environmental factors on the respiratory tract, as well as to analyze the introduction of genetic material into cells cultured in vitro. Students were very interested in the work of a new generation sequencer, which allows you to simultaneously analyze millions of DNA fragments, which makes it indispensable for large-scale research.

We express our deep gratitude to the staff of the DNC FPD for such an interesting and informative day!
