Students from India Successfully Complete First Semester at ASMA

First-year medical students from India have successfully completed their first semester at Amur State Medical Academy (ASMA), marking an important milestone in their journey to study medicine in Russia. The semester provided students with strong academic foundations and practical exposure to the medical profession.

As part of their training, students underwent introductory clinical practice at departments of the Amur Regional Clinical Hospital. During this period, they gained hands-on experience, developed essential medical skills, and observed professional healthcare teams working in real clinical environments. This practical exposure plays a crucial role in shaping competent future doctors.

The academy expressed sincere gratitude to the hospital’s medical staff for guiding and mentoring international students throughout their internship training. Their support and willingness to share professional knowledge helped students strengthen their passion for medicine and motivated them toward future achievements. The academy looks forward to further academic success for students in the upcoming semester.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Olga Ivanovna Katina, highlighted the importance of mentorship and practical training in preparing students for real-world medical practice.

Student Sakh Tejash also shared his experience of studying at the academy, noting the supportive teaching environment and cultural inclusiveness. According to him, faculty members and administrative staff consistently assisted international students, ensuring a smooth academic experience. He also appreciated the clinical internship, where doctors and nurses provided valuable guidance and created a welcoming learning environment.

Students expressed enthusiasm about continuing their medical education and look forward to achieving greater success in the coming semesters at the academy.
