Scientific and Practical Olympiad of Students and Young Scientists in Disaster Medicine
Second-year students of the Amur State Medical Academy reached the final of the XIII All-Russian (VII International) Scientific and Practical Olympiad of Students and Young Scientists in Disaster Medicine and took part in the face-to-face competition of the practical competition in Moscow
Five second-year students under the scientific supervision of Victoria Viktorovna Zaritskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology with a Course of Disaster Medicine of the Amur State Medical Academy, took part in the correspondence stage of the Olympiad in Disaster Medicine.
Victoria Fujiwara and Vladislav Leonovich took part in the scientific section of young scientists. They prepared abstracts and sent them to the competition. The works were highly appreciated by the expert commission and the students received an invitation to in-person participation, which was organized in a remote format. According to the results of the work, Victoria Fujiwara took second place in the scientific section and will be awarded a diploma of the winner of the Olympiad, Vladislav will receive a finalist diploma.
Anichka Unanyan, Natalia Fedorova and Liliana Khatizova competed in the skills of providing first aid to victims of an emergency situation within the walls of Pirogov University and took fourth place among the teams of the practical competition.
— This is a very good result! We participated for the first time and showed an excellent technique for performing first aid skills for the injured in an emergency," Anichka Hunanyan shares her impressions.
"We are proud that we were able to reach such a level, the chairman of the plenary session said that the strongest who showed the best results in the correspondence stage of 250 teams reached the final," Natalia Fedorova said.
"Given that the students of the Amur State Medical Academy are only in their second year, and disaster medicine in medical universities in the central part of Russia is taught in the fourth year, and the section of disaster medicine is now being mastered by them, this is a remarkable result," says Victoria Viktorovna Zaritskaya, mentor of the practical team, which was invited as an expert of the Olympiad and took part in the expert commission of the theoretical competition.
