Lancet Surgical Club Takes Part in Far Eastern Surgical School

The school was organized on the territory of the Far Eastern State Medical University in Khabarovsk, it was attended by students of FESMU, Pacific State Medical University, Amur State Medical University, Voronezh State Medical University named after Burdenko and Harbin Medical University.

Activists of the Lancet club went from the medical academy to Khabarovsk - Roman Fedorenko, Anton Noskov and Vladislav Praskuri.

The school began with lectures on the anatomy and blood circulation of the abdominal organs, as well as lectures on ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding and pancreatic cancer. After that, a practical lesson on laparoscopic suturing of diaphragmatic hernia was held, where the team of the Amur State Medical Academy successfully completed all the tasks.

Our team spent a day at the regional oncology center of the Far Eastern Federal District, where the guys observed the work of the radiology department and open operations. Lectures were also given on the system of medical care and the legal aspects of the work of a surgeon.

In the course of the school, a practical lesson was held on the reconstructive stage of GPDR with the successful performance of anastomosis. Then a lecture was given on ultrasound diagnostics in abdominal surgery.

The teams also visited the Regional Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of the Far Eastern Federal District, where they learned about its work and observed operations. After the tour, a round table was held to discuss clinical cases, which caused an interesting discussion among the participants.

At the closing of the surgical school, the teams were awarded diplomas and letters of thanks from the participants.
