Pediatrics Students Compete in Infectious Disease Olympiad
The event was attended by students with a high GPA for two semesters in the discipline "Infectious Diseases in Children". As part of the Olympiad, the children took an interactive quiz.
The participants themselves noted that the tasks turned out to be really difficult and required not just template knowledge, but deep thinking, quick reaction and a non-standard approach.
— I especially liked the format of the quiz: you had to not just remember the theory, but instantly analyze the clinical picture and make a decision. It was this dynamic that turned the Olympics into a real competition. Special thanks to the department for the clear timing, topical issues and the atmosphere of healthy excitement. I am sure that this format perfectly trains the speed of clinical thinking, which in pediatrics often decides the outcome of the situation," said Anna Bondar.
Anna Bondar (622 gr.), Alexandra Rudykh (623 gr.), Marina Maslova (621 gr.) successfully overcame the tests, taking first, second and third place, respectively. The staff of the department presented memorable gifts to the top three.
– Congratulations on your well-deserved victory in the Olympiad. Do not be afraid to think outside the box, boldly take on complex cases and believe in your strength - it is from such inquisitive minds that great doctors grow. Good luck to you in your studies, practice and scientific activities! — the teachers of the department note.
