Pediatric Students Help First-Year Students Adapt to Medical School

September 10, 2026

Within the walls of our academy, a meeting of second-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics with first-year students was held. The event, organized in the format of a friendly conversation, was aimed at adapting new students to the educational process and getting acquainted with the future professional environment.

Second-year students shared valuable observations about the structure of education, dwelling in detail on the activities of the department. Of particular interest to the audience was the story about the clinical bases of the faculty. The senior comrades vividly and meaningfully described the specifics of work in the Amur Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and the Children's City Clinical Hospital, focusing on the unique opportunities for practicing practical skills in medical institutions.

Also, first-year students learned about the teachers of the department, their scientific interests and requirements for students. The meeting was held in the format of a live dialogue: first-year students actively asked questions regarding the schedule, sessions, mentoring and the intricacies of studying specialized disciplines. Second-year students tried to dispel the anxieties of newcomers and give practical advice on how to make the first year of study as productive as possible.
