Amur State Medical Academy Strengthens Medical Education Cooperation with China

At the plenary session of the International Economic Forum, cooperation with China was discussed. The event was attended by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Mr. Zhang Hanhui, heads of regions of Russia and provinces of China, as well as heads of Chinese provinces and business circles.

"The Amur Region has extensive practical experience of cooperation, which we are actively sharing with other regions in the context of the "turn to the East". Over the past decades, we have been systematically building work in the field of education," said the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Alexandrovich Orlov.

It was also noted that educational exchanges with China have been established in the Amur Region, and the Amur State Medical Academy is a member of the Association of Medical Universities of the two countries, the press service of the Government of the Amur Region reports.

So, this year, 10 students of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine underwent an internship at the Amur State Medical Academy. A rich educational program was organized for students from China in four modules: therapy, obstetrics and gynecology, diagnostics, surgery and pediatric surgery.

In early September, 36 students of the Amur State Medical Academy will go on a return visit to an internship at Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
