First-year students of the Amur State Medical Academy took part in the lecture-diagnosis “Alarm bells: how to recognize use?”

The lecture was organized by the institution "Municipal Information Library System" of the city of Blagoveshchensk. The meeting was held at the Chekhov Youth Library.

During the lecture, students learned about the dangers of drug use, what signals should not be ignored - from physiological symptoms to changes in the social circle, learning motivation and daily habits.

The organizers of the meeting placed special emphasis on the psycho-emotional state of the teenager: sudden mood swings, sleep and appetite disorders, as well as on "digital footprints" in social networks and instant messengers.

Students were told about typical markers of the use of alcohol, drugs, nicotine and new synthetic psychoactive substances, as well as how to distinguish temporary difficulties of adolescence from signs of emerging addiction. Particular attention was paid to early diagnosis, prevention and tactics of safe conversation with young people.
