AmurGMA Hosts Special Event for Expectant Mothers

Expectant mothers: about important things with care and soul Medical volunteers of the Amur State Medical Academy became part of a large regional event for future parents. Together with the Ministry of Health and Social Development, we immersed ourselves in the topic of caring for women from the most important stage – preconception preparation. What did they talk about? Experts reminded: care for the health of the unborn baby begins long before conception. At the event, expectant mothers learned about available social support measures and the importance of visiting family planning centers. 

But the main thing is that it was not just a lecture. A real holiday with useful master classes was organized for the participants: Sand therapy. Our volunteers not only helped in the organization, but also studied the methods with interest. The psychologist showed how through figurines and sand you can understand the emotional state of the expectant mother, relieve anxiety and even "bury" all the bad things in order to be filled with new energy. Skills that will come in handy for everyone! Governor's bag. Each pregnant woman found out what is included in the governor's bag, as well as what indispensable things for quiet motherhood will soon appear. Metaphorical cards. A special atmosphere for the event was set by working with metaphorical cards. This is not fortune-telling, but a psychological technique that helps to get out of the subconscious what really excites you.
