Public Speaking Training at Amur State Medical Academy

At the Department of Traumatology with a course of disaster medicine, a training "Overcoming the fear of public speaking" was held. It was conducted for second- and third-year students of the department by teachers of the department Victoria Zaritskaya and Irina Khreshchenok. They told students how to properly prepare for a speech, attract the attention of the audience and competently present their report.

"We are conducting this training before a large student conference. The children will perform a number of exercises that will help them relieve tension and internal clamps. We will also tell you what types of speeches they will have in the future, teach verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and how to connect them correctly. At the end of the lesson, the children will need to make a self-presentation in front of the audience, and their performances will be evaluated by the jury," said Victoria Zaritskaya.

Such training has been carried out at the Department of Traumatology for several years. According to the teachers, the skills gained will help students in the successful presentation of their reports, scientific papers and presentations at conferences.
