Summer Medical Program Introduces Students to Pediatrics and Modern Rehabilitation Technologies
In the Amur State Medical Academy, the summer shift "World of Medicine" continues to work. Teachers of the Department of Children's Diseases Oksana Vladimirovna Shanova and Elvira Leonidovna Chupak introduced schoolchildren to the world of pediatrics. An excursion to the children's city clinical hospital was held for the children.
The key value of the career guidance session is the opportunity to communicate live with current specialists. The head of the functional diagnostics room, Tatyana Alexandrovna Metelkina, spoke about the diagnostic methods that help doctors in making a diagnosis, the children were recorded an ECG and an experienced doctor read the "letter of the heart", spirography was carried out with an assessment of respiratory functions. Assistant of the Department of Children's Diseases of the Amur State Medical Academy, Candidate of Medical Sciences, psychologist Olga Sergeevna Yutkina held a master class on the role of anxiety in the development of psychosomatic diseases. The children explored their anxiety, identified the areas of life with which it is connected, conducted a Jung associative test and distanced their experiences with the help of ART techniques.
To promote a healthy lifestyle, an interactive marathon was organized, which allowed participants to test their knowledge and physical endurance in a non-standard format. Students of group 501 Bobryshev Stepan and Morozova Olesya acted as assistants in its conduct. During the event, the blocks were highlighted: anatomical crocodile, diet, physical activity and sports, and the Blitz competition was held. All the students received prizes, and the most active participant was presented with a cover for a student card, which will serve as additional motivation for further professional development and admission to the academy.
