Students of groups 120-121 of the Faculty of Pediatrics, together with the curator, assistant of the Department of Pediatrics Olga Vyacheslavovna Zhuravleva, visited the Amur Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Future doctors got acquainted with the structure of the surgical building of the AODKB, accompanied by an experienced pediatric surgeon, head of the Department of Hospital Surgery, with the course of pediatric surgery Oleg Borisovich Vdovin.

The excursion turned out to be not just introductory, but a real journey into the world of high medical technologies and complex solutions. Oleg Borisovich introduced the students to the key areas of the surgical building. The children saw modern wards for young patients, an operating room equipped with the latest technology and a dressing room, where children's lives are saved every day.

Students attended a real operation - gastroendoscopy and were able to observe the jewelry work of an endoscopist, who diagnosed and simultaneously performed manipulations inside the body using a flexible endoscope.

"It was incredibly interesting! I had never thought about endoscopy as my path before, but after we had the operation, I seriously thought about choosing this specialty. Oleg Borisovich showed that a pediatric surgeon can work with gentle methods, without large incisions. Such excursions open your eyes to real medicine," said Vladislav Praskurin, a student of group 120.
