More than two thousand students study at the Amur State Medical Academy, 19 Tatyanas and 160 foreigners
On the eve of the Day of Russian Students, we counted our future doctors and Tatiana.
In total, more than two thousand students are currently studying at the Amur State Medical Academy. Of these, over 1300 are girls and about 870 are boys. Most of the students are now in the first year - 473 people, the least of all fifth-year students - there are 310 of them.
There are not so many girls with the name Tatyana within the walls of the university this year. There were 19 students from all courses. Teachers note that there used to be much more Tatyana at the academy.
Not only Amur children study at the medical academy, but also young people from all over the Far East and Russia: from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Sakhalin, St. Petersburg, Yakutia, Stavropol Territory, Tula Region, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk Region. And more than 160 international students. Students came to study from Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Congo, India, Africa, Nepal.
If we talk about age, then traditionally, applicants who enter after school become students at the age of 17-18 and graduate from the sixth year at the age of 23-24. But there are also 10 adult students aged 40 and older in the academy.
There are 12 creative and 14 sports clubs and associations in ASMA, in which more than 500 students are employed. Over 550 more people are involved in the activities of the volunteer center. About 350 girls and boys participate in the work of patriotic clubs and associations.
Our students play chess, table tennis, are fond of athletics, volleyball, orienteering, the university has women's and men's basketball teams. Also, the guys make bandages and weave camouflage nets to be sent to the special military operation in the patriotic club "CHALLENGE", practice in the real operating room of the Lancet surgical club, attend forums and master medical science in the student brigade "Rhythm", dance in four groups ("Renaissance", "TENGRI", "FREEDOM", "XXX", "Rara Avis", "Territory of Dance"), volunteer as part of the public movement "Medical Volunteers", cover the life of the medical academy in the student media center "Inforgi".
And our students also have time to fall in love and start families. We counted 157 young families under 35 years old (including 105 families with children), in which one of the spouses is a student of the ASMA.
