MBBS in Russia for Indian Students: First-Year Clinical Training at One of the Best MBBS Universities in Russia

All 49 first-year students studying at the Faculty of Pediatrics were successfully admitted to the credit for educational practice. They completed their training across all therapeutic and surgical departments of the AODKB. According to the heads of the practice, Victoria Shamraeva and Oleg Vdovin, students received only positive feedback everywhere, with no remarks regarding their performance. Such structured clinical exposure reflects the academic excellence maintained by the best MBBS university in Russia and other leading institutions.

Anna Polyashova, an experienced pediatrician and a 2019 graduate currently completing her second year of residency in pediatrics, spoke to the first-year students. In a lively and engaging discussion, she explained the advantages and unique features of working as a pediatrician. Residents Hawaa Aymir and Oyun Saigy also addressed the students, saying: "You will not even notice how 6 years will fly by, and you will have to make a choice of specialization. Let it be right!"

Such mentorship and early clinical orientation are key reasons why many international students choose the best medical universities in Russia for pursuing their MBBS degree.

The theoretical test was successfully completed with an impressive average score of 4.6 and a quality assessment of 97.9%. More than half of the students (29 individuals) achieved an "excellent" grade. Their independent projects — sanitary bulletins — will be transferred to children's clinics, where they will serve as useful informational materials for young patients and their parents. These practical initiatives highlight the hands-on learning approach commonly seen in the top MBBS colleges in Russia.

The first-year students themselves shared heartfelt impressions of their practice:

"At first, it was scary: a lot of strangers, a strict regime, responsibility. But after a couple of days, I realized that this is what real work in a hospital looks like — not only smart, but also very mundane, difficult, and manual. I especially remember how the mother of one baby sincerely said ‘thank you’ to me just for bringing clean sheets. At that moment, I felt like a part of something big and important," — Alexandra Kuzmina, group 120.

"My first internship at a children's hospital was an amazing immersion into the real world of medicine. For us, first-year students, it was a unique chance to see how the whole department works — not from textbooks, but live. The hospital staff greeted us kindly: everything was shown, explained, and we were given opportunities to try ourselves. I gained many practical skills. The first practice was excellent. I got a lot of impressions and real experience. Now it is clear what to strive for next!" — Gleb Popov, group 121.

"The internship has been an extremely valuable and inspiring stage of learning for me. It allowed not only to consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained at the academy, but also to immerse myself in a real clinical environment. I was amazed by the high level of professionalism, sensitivity, and attention of the medical staff. Under the supervision of doctors, I mastered several practical manipulations and was even present during an operation. I gained a clear understanding of the structure and organization of the gynecological department and the interaction between doctors, middle, and junior medical personnel. The practice left only positive impressions," — Yulia Majorova, group 120.

Such early clinical exposure, strong mentorship, and academic excellence clearly demonstrate why Russia continues to be home to the best MBBS university in Russia, as well as some of the best medical universities in Russia and top MBBS colleges in Russia for aspiring doctors worldwide.
