Chinese Medical Students Complete Clinical Therapy Internship at Blagoveshchensk City Clinical Hospital

In Blagoveshchensk, the traditional internship for students from China in the "Therapy" module has ended. It took place for two days, July 13-14. Future doctors mastered the program on the basis of the City Clinical Hospital.

Teachers of the Department of Faculty and Outpatient Therapy - Margarita Sulima and Ekaterina Kulik - worked with foreign students. The classes were held in close cooperation with doctors and patients of the therapeutic, pulmonary and radiology departments.

The program was as rich and practical as possible. Students got acquainted with the Russian approach to the management of patients with such therapeutic nosologies as chronic pancreatitis, anemia, cirrhosis of the liver, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, community-acquired

pneumonia. They managed to interview and examine patients, independently palpate the abdomen, percussion and auscultation of the lungs, and check the main objective symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases. They also studied modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, including various inhalation therapy devices. They mastered the technique of spirometry and even checked their lung function.

Attention was also paid to instrumental diagnostics. Students observed the work of radiologists directly during the examinations in the computed tomography room with the opportunity to independently assess the results.

The practice turned out to be rich, and the work was fruitful. Foreign students highly appreciated the openness of Russian patients to dialogue, and the doctors' desire to share their experience.
