Amur State Medical Academy Conducts International Student Scientific Conference on Therapy and Medical Research
The report dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Professor I.V. Landysheva, was presented by a third-year student A. Kurbatova, in which she spoke in detail about the main stages of the life, scientific and social activities of the outstanding scientist.
Further, reports were made by Ts. Tsydypylova and P. Nekrasova (3rd year) on the topics: "Features of the course of arterial hypertension (AH) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)" and "Comorbidity of chronic heart failure (CHF) and COPD". It was noted that the combination of different diseases is often observed in the same patient; the incidence of comorbidity in middle-aged and elderly people in 2025 reached 4.2%.
Sixth-year students presented reports on modern methods of correcting risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (A. Parubchenko) and on the effectiveness of the use of electronic medical records and medical electronic systems in the practice of a district general practitioner" (V. Shirkunov).
Fifth-year student A. Bityutskaya spoke about the risk factors for the development of crossover syndrome in students of the Amur State Medical Academy.
The incidence of oncological pathology in the city polyclinic No3 for 2023-2025 was reported by a sixth-year student Aliyeva D.
Also at the conference, reports prepared by students from India Mohammad Parvez and Mohammad Jafar Sheikh, studying at Samara State Medical University, were heard. Reports on the topics: "IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON CARDIOVASCULAR MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF TWO COUNTRIES – RUSSIA AND INDIA" (A brief review of the comparative analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in Russia and India, based on scientific data) and "OBESITY: AYURVEDIC VIEW OF THE PROBLEM" (Obesity: an Ayurvedic view of the problem) were made by Yakimov A. (6th year) and Kantemirov E. (3rd year).
The head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Professor Iraida Georgievna Menshikova made a closing speech. She noted the relevance of the selected topics and the high level of scientific reports of students, thanked their supervisors, and also wished students success in their further scientific and practical activities.
The speeches aroused great interest among the audience, were accompanied by an active discussion and left a vivid impression on both students and teachers.
