At the meeting of the Council, representatives of higher educational institutions of the Amur Region discussed the museums of universities and research institutes of the city of Blagoveshchensk and the upcoming scientific and practical conference "Youth of the XXI century - a step into the future".

Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of BSPU Natalia Vladimirovna Kireeva spoke about the work of museums at universities of the regional capital of the Amur Region. Currently, there are 18 museums in seven organizations. In 2025, more than 17 thousand people visited museum exhibitions and expositions.

"Museum work in our universities and scientific organizations has deep roots. Many of them have impressive funds, unique collections, and active excursion programs. Museums are not just a repository of exhibits. These are living laboratories of memory, where the past meets the future, and science meets the human soul. I want our museums to develop and inspire new generations of our researchers. Natalia Vladimirovna noted.

Many museums have unique exhibits. For example, in the archaeological museum of BSPU there is an unusual statue of a mohe warrior. In the anatomical museum of the Far Eastern State Agrarian University, you can see the skull of a mammoth, the skeleton of an Amur tiger, fragments of the skeleton of a whale.

The Anatomical Museum of the Amur State Medical Academy is the oldest of the museums of universities in the Amur Region, it is already 74 years old. More than 600 unique exhibits are stored here. Also in the medical academy there is a museum of history, which has over a thousand exhibits.

The Council of Rectors made several decisions regarding the work of museums, including the possibility of developing a single cloud platform for accounting for museum funds and intensifying cooperation with the Amur Regional Museum of Local Lore.
